Carrot Halwa – This is a dessert which is loved by anyone and everyone, isn’t it? Yeah Yeah and Yeah πŸ™‚ My family loves this dessert and so do I. It can be a way to feed someone carrots, who doesn’t like eating it in any other way πŸ˜‰ A cheat food πŸ˜› So, with that bit of intro, I present here a yummy carrot halwa. I must say it includes a lot of work grating and draining the milk but when somebody taste it, all your efforts will definitely get applause πŸ™‚


  • Grated Carrots 11 Cups
  • Full Fat milk 3 Cups
  • Sugar 2 Cups
  • Green cardamom 3
  • Cashews 1/2 Cup
  • Raisins 1/2 Cup
  • Ghee 3 tbsps


  1. Cook the grated carrots with milk in a pressure cooker
  2. Take a pan, pour in the cooked carrots, 1 tbsp ghee and start boiling until 3/4th of the milk is drained off
  3. Now add sugar to this and let it cook well until the sugar dissolves and remaining liquid drains off
  4. Once, the carrot starts leaving the bottom of the pan, add 2 tbsps of ghee, cardamom powder, roasted cashews, raisins and let it cook for 5 minutes
  5. Tada, yummy carrot halwa is ready to be served πŸ™‚
