CHOCOLATE SPONGE CAKE – VERSION 2

I loveeee chocolate bakes and you can make out when I keep trying stuffs made out of chocolate. Is it not? 😛 For craving of sweets, this can always be a savior! This version has condensed milk in the list of ingredients which will make your cake richer and absolute fluffy. I have made this cake using part ww but you can anytime make it with ww completely and I can bet it will turn out equally a yumm bake 🙂 and yes, this bake is just mix in and bake types. So, it will be ready in a jiffy 🙂

INGREDIENTS

Whole Wheat Flour(50g) – 1/2 cup

All Purpose Flour(maida)(50g) – 1/2 cup

Cocoa Powder(25g) – 1/4 cup

Powdered Sugar(25g) – 1/4 cup

Baking Powder – 1 tsp

Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp

Sweetened Condensed Milk – 200g

Oil – 1/4 cup

Vanilla essence – 1 tsp

Boiling hot water – 1/2 cup

STEPS-

  1. Sift all the dry ingredients together except sugar 3-4 times
  2. Take sugar and all the wet ingredients except water in a bowl and beat it using a balloon whisk or an electric churner until it combines well(looks milky)
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and give it a quick nice mix
  4. Now pour boiling hot water to the mixture and run the churner for few seconds until water incorporates well with the remaining mix
  5. Pour into a greased and lined baking dish
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for about 20-25 minutes or until the skewer inserted comes out clean.
  7. Leave on for 5 minutes before unmoulding from the tin.
  8. Invert on a wire rack for cooling
  9. Cut into desired shapes and sizes once it completely cools down
